Of course. Its all so typical. Just running from every palace guard, while tears are building in my eyes. That's how it always ends, doesn't it? I get one chance for a normal life, and the one who gave me the offer just blows it. Why couldn't I see it before? Oh, you don't understand? Well, you see, I, am a criminal. A ninja, to be precise. I steal, kill, do anything to survive. Yeah, I get jailed and my name and picture plastered on every building and tree, but it's life. And no, that isn't only the reason I am here now. I had a chance to be different, change my ways. But that was ruined. I normally don't stay to chat, but I can walk, (or run) and talk right? So here is how it all happened.
"Stop her!" a guard screams, but I don't halt, stop, even slow down. I speed up. In my hands, is the crown of the queen. Took it right from her majesty herself. Its great. And who is gonna catch me? Nobody. They'll just lose me and forget that it happened because I already stole something else. So I keep running, and all the way to my place. An abandoned house some kind of homeless family built. I do like it though. Pretty nice for my type. As I enter the doorway, I stare at the tiara, as it gazes a bright gem glare in the moonlight. I put it on my head, and daydream about how life would be for me if I was a princess. I then realize reality, and respect what I have. I eat my sandwich from a young boy, and wipe my face with a bandaged wrist. And lastly, I jump to my bed and fall asleep as I get contact to it. I haven't had dreams in a long time, and won't either. So my night finishes there, and that is normally how my story is.
I wake on the dirty, broken up floor boards around me, as I noticed I fell off the bed. I get back on, but only to get myself for the day right after. I slip on my shoes, and re-wrap my bandages on my legs and arms. Then I brush my hair with my hands, and wrap it into two parts. My bandana is warped on my head, and my messed bangs are covering it. I pull the tangled hair back, as they swing back to their spots again. I find my sword, my only weapon for what I do best. Set outside, and train for whatever may come when I get food, or money, or just the guards chasing me for the crown or anything else.
So I swing, back and forth, slashing innocent trees to their death. All the branches, stumps, even leaves have scars from my weapon. I nod, and im ready for the day. I run to the palace walls, and walk inside. Luckily, I am unnoticed. I take an apple, a loaf of bread, and water to have for lunch. A officer sees me, then grabs some recruits to defend him. I run, and start to retreat to my home. I get halfway, and I look back to see how far they are away. But I don't see anybody. I only see the forest, and a small glimpse of the palace. I turn back, and start walking to my place. "Ha!" I hear, and im tackled by a total stranger with a bow and arrow pointed at me. This is what they come up with? I've seen better.
It may be not a great idea to send a boy by himself after me, but I can assure you. He was very attractive. Heh, some guard. "Uh...nice entrance?" I say, and he gets off of me. He is blushing, and I roll my eyes. "pathetic. Just pathetic. Who sends a kid after me?" I complain.
He raises his bow, loaded with an arrow, defendant. "I'm not a kid! Now surrender and I can go easy on you." he threatens, but im not convinced. "yeah, yeah. But what if I don't want easy?" I pull out my sword, and he looks at me, surprised. Then he smiles, and I can tell he wanted a challenge anyway. "then you'll lose." him smiling, and i smile too. He has a dashing smile, its contagious. But not distracting. So I swing my sword, and he dodges at the last second. I swing back and forth, I miss every time. He sends a few arrows at me, but I dodge. We continue, and by the end, I have my sword up his neck, and he is almost stabbing me with an arrow to my back. We are really close, and I blush. He reconizes, then plays along. His eyes turn to be mesmerizing. He leans in, and this kiss, I cant describe it. I guess you could say amazing. No, awesome. No. Perfect.
I drop my sword, and he throws off his arrow and pulls me close. I then wrap my arms around his neck, and he holds my waist. It was...perfect. I never had anything so different. I pull back, and look up. He is smiling, and I bite my lip. I lean in again, and he has a finger tilting my face toward him. "Eli! You done with her?" a older guard calls out. The boy steps back, and grabs his things. "I-I'm sorry." he says, then he runs off to the guard. I sigh. Nothing like that is ever going to happen to me again. I turn back and walk sadly to my house again. SLING! an arrow was shot to my right on a tree. There was a note attached. 'Meet me here tonight? -Eli' I ripped off the note, and held it close to my chest. I knew it couldn't end this way. Like something just had to happen.
